Collaborated with Professor Scott Laserow to invite designers to create posters for a website we created called www.postersfornepal.com.* 21xdesign, designed, and programmed the site and continues to monitor and maintain the site on an ongoing basis for this worthy cause. I also maintain all the social media outreach for the site and continue to work with designers to create posters for the site, which are sold on the site to raise money for the Red Cross, working in Nepal.
* Please note that this site is temporarily unavailable due to technical difficulties.

Art directed, designed, and co-developed this animation along with writers David L Wiest, Shawn Fahl, Francis Coffey, and animator Julia Tran (BFA 2012) to develop a six-minute animation that gives a succinct overview of the complicated process of T cell development. Redesigned and developed my studio’s website which is an extensive overview of the work we are doing in the studio as well as giving viewers some in-depth knowledge of our work and our design process. This site is also part of our push in the studio to create sites using the WordPress CMS as the platform of choice for our current and future sites. The site can be viewed at http://www.21xdesign.com. The site is also a responsive site design that allows it to be viewed on an iPad or mobile device.
Projection Play, Collaboration with Julia Sheriff, pianist, in a new music multimedia tour (San Francisco, Toronto, Philadelphia & New Haven) as part of Projection Play, an interactive video installation, and piano recital. Collaborated with Jennifer Fisher Ph.D. and Yasmeen Paulette Bruton from the Center for Obesity Research at Temple University, designed and produced an interactive online game that teaches very young children portion control with their food. This year-long project, working with a team of seven people, resulted in the creation of an educational tool for young children and has since been selected to be shown on various websites. The project was officially launched in Summer 2012.
An interactive digital installation project “Sweatcake” was selected to be included in the Summer 2012 exhibition, National Juried Competition: Digital Works at the Long Beach Island, Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. This show was curated by Christiane Paul, a scholar in the field of digital art and a historian of art and technology. She is a Professor of Visual Arts at The New School and author of the seminal book Digital Art as well being the curator of digital art at the Whitney Museum, New York. The piece “Sweatcake” was developed using Actionscript 3.0 and the Hype Framework, which combined randomly generated graphics coupled with a custom generated audio track, culled from various Buddhist chants. The audio generated a continuously evolving digital projection that played in the exhibition for the length of the show.
Invited to collaborate in cooperation with pianist Julia Sheriff for a series of piano recitals titled PROJECTionPLAY. This is a collaborative new music project accompanied by abstract visuals. The recital program includes music such as: The Enchanted Garden-Richard Danielpour, Gargoyles-Liebermann, 5 Piano Premieres by Anderson Alden, Matthew Cmiel, Viet Cuong, Lonnie Hevia, and Gity Razaz. The program will be playing at Princeton University and Yale University (Spring 2013) and Temple University in late April 2013. For this project, I created real-time computer graphics using MAX/Msp to create generative artwork, triggered by the live audio and is part of my ongoing exploration of creating generative digital performances and installations. To see a sample of the presentation, please visit https://dermotmaccormack.net/project/projection-play/
