Inspired in part by Robert Indiana’s Love & Amor sculptures, both of which are located in Philadelphia, we wanted to create something that was both typographic, and something that could be easily replicated to bring the message across to an audience. But at the same time, we wanted a type solution that had a sense of urgency about it too. Graffiti and hand made protest posters were also our influence here. Creating the stencils and assembling the poster brought me closer to the protest that our graphics were trying to convey.
